HOLLOWAY, FELICIA RENEE (1973 ~ 2016). The following is an obituary for Felicia Holloway, former Texas State Cemetery employee.

Felicia Renee Holloway, known affectionately known as "Moma Lisa" or "Aunt Lisa", passed away peacefully on June 30, 2016 at the age of 42 after a brief struggle with cancer. She was surrounded by those she loved and shared many of her happiest memories with, as she neared her last moments at Hospice Austin Christopher House.

Felicia was born December 28, 1973 in Austin, TX, the daughter of Clearence Tennard and Mary Ann Holloway. As a child, she confessed her love for Christ at St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church in Bastrop, Tx. Felicia's final move of membership was to Praise And Deliverance Church Of God In Christ, led under her brother Pastor William Holloway.

In Austin, Felicia attended Blackshear Elementary School. She then attended Kealing Middle School before her family briefly relocated to San Antonio, Texas. It is there where she continued her education at Sam Houston High School and developed a love for volleyball, one of her favorite activities. She continued to enjoy this as it became a bonding tool for her family. Yet her greatest joy was the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and older siblings.

Throughout her life, Felicia was a loving and kindhearted person whose heartwarming smile and fighting spirit drew many people to her. Those bonds only grew stronger with her ability to listen with an open mind and give straight forward advice by using experiences in her life. Her nurturing soul lead her to activities and employment that help others. She was well known for the way she opened the door to her home where many people could come and receive meals as well as shelter whenever it was needed. She also used that same passion as a longtime employee of The Texas State School and Girling Health Care where she cared for the elderly and children with special needs. Towards the end of her career she took on a role at the Texas State Cemetery, where she worked for nearly 10 years, as a Groundskeeper to preserve the final resting places of the people she enjoyed caring for.

She is survived by her children: Carnealus "Neal" Holloway, Karla Meadows, Glenn "G.J" Wilson and D'Marcus "Baby" Wilson; seven grandchildren: Lesane Hughes, Andre Hughes, Glenn Wilson III, Maleek Hughes, Ge'Kaiden Wilson, D'Marcus Wilson Jr. and Me'riah Wilson; brothers and sisters: Patricia Holloway, Regina Anugweade, Yvonne Holloway, Edward Fields, Willie Holloway, Williwam Holloway, and Christopher Holloway. She is predeceased by parents Mary Ann Holloway and Clearence Tennard, 1grandchild Carnealus Deshon Hughes and sister Lisa Bullard Dickerson.

A wake will be held on Wednesday July 6, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm at Texas State Cemetery at 909 Navasota Street Austin, Texas 78702. Funeral services will be held on July 7, 2016 at 11 am at Church of God in Christ #1 1168 Angelina Street Austin, Texas 78702 with Pastor William Holloway officiating.
