KUTCH, CYRUS WESLEY (1836 ~ 1923)

 

Cyrus Kutch was born September 13, 1836, in Maury County, Tennessee, his parents were Daniel Lee and Mary Bell Kutch.  He was a farmer and married Malvina Harvick from Arkansas.  During the Civil War, he served in the Texas Frontier Defense, Jack Cureton’s Company, under the command of A. T. Obenchain.  The company was organized at Fort Belknap, Young County, Texas.  Following the War, he resumed farming and ranching in Parker County, Texas.  He was admitted to the Confederate Men’s Home on March 27, 1922.  Cyrus Wesley Kutch died at the Confederate Men’s Home on May 15, 1923.  He was buried at the Texas State Cemetery on May 16, 1923.
