BANKSTON, RACHEL L. (1841 ~ 1925). Confederate widow Rachel Bankston was the wife of Levi Bankston. She was born at an unknown location in 1841.

Levi Bankston served in Abat's/Dashiell's Battery, Duff's 33rd Regiment, Army of Trans-Mississippi. He enlisted on October 2, 1862 at Bastrop. He is on the muster rolls for July and August of 1863 but is not present on any record after that. He died on January 3, 1916 in Travis County, Texas.

Rachel Bankston died on May 22, 1925 in Travis County, Texas and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery. Very little is known about Rachel Bankston's life and the State Cemetery research staff encourages anyone with any information regarding her life to contact them.
