RALEY, ELIZABETH WALKER (1870 ~ 1933). Confederate widow Elizabeth Walker Raley was born in Missouri on December 10, 1850 to A.P. Rosson and Nancy Jane Overton, both of Tennessee.

She married Ezekiel Alfred Walker on December 27, 1870 in Tippah County, Mississippi. He served in Company A (also known as the Choctaw Rangers), 2nd Mississippi Cavalry. The 2nd Mississippi served as the nucleus for the Jefferson Davis Guard and fought with the Army of Northern Virginia during the Civil War. Walker enlisted on December 15, 1862 at Ripley, Mississippi.

Ezekiel Walker died on August 28, 1890 in Navarro County, Texas. The Walkers moved to Texas in 1882.

Elizabeth Walker then married H. D. Raley in 1904. He died on July 25, 1927. She moved to Raymondville, Texas in 1929 and successfully applied for a Confederate Widow's Pension in 1930.

She died at the Confederate Woman's Home on December 10, 1933 and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery.
