JONES, CORDELIA ANN WALTON MCHENRY (1848 ~ 1935). Confederate widow Cordelia Jones was born on July 15, 1848 in Tennessee. She was born to Nelson Walton of Tennessee and Marticia Shofner of North Carolina. Cordelia married Dr. C. B. McHenry in 1867 and they had one child named W. T. McHenry. She married B. F. Jones in 1890 who served in Company K, 16th Regiment in General Scurry's Brigade. B. F. Jones was discharged at Bryan, Texas in 1865. Cordelia Jones died on March 5, 1933 at the age of 86 years, 7months, and 18 days and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery. Information taken from Texas State Cemetery file materials.
