SEEVER, WILLIAM (1833 ~ 1907). Confederate veteran William Seever was born in Fleming County, Kentucky in 1833.
Seever immigrated to Texas in 1856. After the outbreak of the Civil War, he enlisted in Company G, 8th Regiment, Texas Cavalry on April 4, 1862, at Corinth, Mississippi. The 8th Regiment, Texas Cavalry was known as Terry's Texas Rangers.
Following the War, he returned to Texas and lived in Corsicana. He worked as a machinist and never married. Seever was admitted to the Confederate Men's Home on September 25, 1904.
Seever died on June 28, 1907, and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery.
