HART, W. B. (1841~1908). W.B. Hart was born in Tennessee in 1841. During the Civil War he belonged to Company H, 2nd Tennessee Infantry, Polk's Brigade in the Army of Tennessee. The 2nd Tennessee was organized on May 6, 1861 at Lynchburg, Virginia. The 2nd Tennessee participated at Manasas, Shiloh, Corinth, Perryville, Murfreesboro, Chickamuaga, Franklin, and Nashville. The 2nd Tennessee was consolidated with the 3rd, 10th, 15th, 18th, 20th, 26th, 30th, 32nd, 37th, and the 45th to form the 4th Consolidated Regiment of the Tennessee Infantry. They surrendered on May 1, 1865. Mr. Hart was promoted to 1st Corporal on March 1, 1864. He was detailed to the Commissary Department.

Hart moved to Texas in 1870 and settled in Aberdeen. He was a Christian. He was a widowed ranchman when he entered the Confederate Men's Home. He was admitted to the Home on March 17, 1907 where he died July 23, 1908.
