WARE, JUANELL WRIGHT (1936 ~ 2007). The following is a death notice for Juanell Wright Ware, spouse of former Texas House and Senate Chaplain Browning Ware. The death notice was published in the November 30, 2007 edition of the Austin American-Statesman.

"Juanell Wright Ware - Juanell Wright Ware, 71, of Austin, died Tuesday at Buckner Villas after a seven-year struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born Feb. 6, 1936, on a farm in Elbert, Texas, the daughter of Elmer Lee and Virginia (Thompson) Johnson.

On June 1, 1956, Juanell married Kenneth Wayne Wright in Abilene, Texas. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1983. Mrs. Wright married Browning Ware on Jan. 31, 1987. He preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 2002. She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Juanell was a schoolteacher by trade. At the height of her career, she was chairperson of the Title I program at Pleasant View Elementary in Golden, Colo. She taught basic reading and math skills to disadvantaged children and was a consultant on the subject.

'I always wanted to be a pastor's wife,' Juanell once said. She faithfully supported the ministries of Dr. Wright at First Presbyterian Church of Golden, Colo.; and Dr. Ware at First Baptist Church of Austin. Juanell loved to play the piano and sing in the church choir.

Survivors include her two sons, Stuart Wright of Arvada, Colo., and Jeff Wright of Kerrville, Texas; a sister, Doniece Neely and her husband Bob of Throckmorton, Texas; three grandchildren, Cameron, Brooks and Blake Wright, and two nephews, Mark and Rob Neely.

A 1:00 p.m. memorial service is planned for Friday at First Baptist Church of Austin, 901 Trinity Street, the Rev. Roger Paynter officiating. Interment follows in the Texas State Cemetery. Online condolences may be left for the family through the funeral home at www. http://wcfish.com"
